Found in an old warehouse - these original unused 1930s curlers are made of a very bendy  metal and covered in a soft woven brown fabric.
On the box it claims
The "FLORA DORA"  is the simplest and most effective hair curler on the market; pliable it cannot injure the Hair"

The Directions For Use, on the other side of the box are 
"Place the hair between the curler. Roll up close to the head and bend the ends over."
